Cookie Policy
Essential choices, with optional tracking kept off.
Edition dated 9 October 2026
What this website stores
Alderwick Ledger currently sets no application cookies and installs no analytics, advertising or marketing integrations. It uses browser local storage for your privacy choices. Similar storage technologies can fall under privacy rules even when they are not technically cookies.
Essential storage
The entry alderwick-consent-v1 records a version number, your selected categories and the time of your choice. Its purpose is to remember and honour your settings. It contains no contact-form data, cross-site identifier or browsing history. The choice is treated as valid for 180 days, after which the banner reappears on your next visit.
The Essential category remains enabled. If your browser blocks storage, you can still read the site, but it may ask for your choices again. Hosting-level authentication, security or delivery mechanisms are controlled by the hosting provider and are not represented here as optional publisher analytics.
Optional categories
- Analytics: intended for measuring use of the site. No analytics provider is currently installed.
- Preferences: intended for optional personalisation beyond the privacy choice. No such features currently write persistent data.
- Advertising / Marketing: intended for advertising measurement or personalisation. No advertising or marketing tags are currently installed.
Turning a category on records that preference only. It does not silently activate a new service. Any future integration requires an updated explanation, appropriate consent where required and renewed choices if the purposes or providers materially change.
How to make or change a choice
Accept All enables the optional category preferences. Reject Non-Essential leaves every optional category off. Manage Preferences lets you choose categories individually, then Save Preferences records them. These controls do not prevent access to articles.
at any time. Changes apply in this browser. Other browsers and devices have their own choices. Deleting site data removes the stored preference and causes the banner to appear again.

Source links open external websites only when selected. Those websites control their own cookies and storage. We do not embed external video players, social widgets or advertising frames in this edition.
